The University of Chicago, in collaboration with Argonne National Laboratory, has proposed a Master's program in Public Health Preparedness. This program will be offered through the Graham School of General Studies. This professional degree program is created for officials and professionals in all arenas of public health, providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet respond to the challenges posed by biohazards and environmental crisis and safeguard the public's health.

 

The GLRCE also provides education and information through the Public Health Officials Network (PHONe). The PHONe is a network linking local and state health officers, government bioterrorism or emergency preparedness coordinators, Laboratory Response Network participants, public health department epidemiologists, and CDC-sponsored Centers for Emergency Public Health Preparedness to the biodefense experts and specialized laboratories of the GLRCE. Seth Foldy, MD, director of the PHONe will provide help locating researches and consulation in both emergency and non-emergency situations.
