to the website of the University of Chicago's Howard T. Ricketts
Regional Biocontainment Laboratory. The Ricketts Laboratory will be a
state of the art laboratory in which scientists study the molecular
mechanisms of infectious disease and and conduct translational research
to develop products such as diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines.
The
research at the Ricketts Laboratory will be directed towards improving
prevention, intervention and therapy of infectious diseases all over
